Odyssey Extreme Power & Motorsport racing batteries offer phenomenal starting power and massive deep cycle reserve power. Some other batteries provide excellent cranking power, others reserve power. The revolutionary Odyssey Extreme Racing batteries are designed for both! This is possible thanks to the plates being made from 99.99% pure virgin lead. Pure lead plates can be made thinner, so more can be fitted into the battery. More surface area means more power, up to twice as much as conventional batteries.

  • Featuring a rugged construction and packed tightly with pure lead plates
  • AGM design protects against the shock and vibration that can quickly destroy other batteries
  • Pure lead plates mean more power, twice the overall power and three times the life of conventional batteries up to 400 cycles at 80% depth of discharge

Odyssey batteries are capable of providing engine cranking pulses in excess of 2250 amps for 5 seconds - double to triple that of equally sized conventional batteries. Extreme heat, high revving, and high vibration engines - the demands of racing need a battery that is up to the job, but lightweight and compact, which is exactly what the Odyssey battery supplies! Featuring rugged construction and packed tightly with pure lead plates, the non spillable AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) design protects against the shock and vibration that can quickly destroy other batteries. Odyssey batteries feature TPPL battery innovation, the plates within the battery start with 99.99% pure lead. The plates can be made thinner than plates in a conventional lead acid battery, allowing more plates to be used and resulting in more surface area for a reaction to occur with the electrolyte

Odyssey batteries are designed to be tough and operate at extreme temperatures (-40?C to 50?C) but when the temperature gets really high (up to 80?C) they benefit from some extra support to counteract expansion due to the heat. Some battery models are equipped with a metal jacket which provides this support and they can be can be identified by 'MJ' in the last 3 digits of the battery model code. These metal jacket battery models are ideal for applications where high ambient temperatures are present such as race car engine bays. The metal jacket also adds protection against rocks and other debris making them a great choice for where the battery is exposed to the elements.
